Guiding each student towards academic brilliance, personal growth and contribution to society—creating empowered individuals prepared for a changing world.
Since 2004, St. Xavier’s has been part of the educational journey of children and families in Mahad.
St. Xavier’s Education Society began its first educational project in 2004: St. Xavier’s School, Shirgaon–Mahad. The non-profit society was founded to meet the educational needs of local children and make learning accessible to families.
Today, St. Xavier’s School and Junior College brings together academic learning, moral character, and opportunities to explore sport, art, science, and service.
Our purpose is to help students strengthen their relationship with humanity and build a foundation of moral character. We believe a school should be a safe, happy place where children can be themselves and thrive.

St. Xavier’s Education Society is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950. The school records recognition as a minority organisation by the State Government.

A simple promise that shapes school life: recognise each child’s ability, nurture character, and create opportunities for every learner to grow with confidence and purpose.
St. Xavier’s Education Society grew from a local demand for values-led, quality education in Mahad. Chairman Johnson P. D’Souza describes the school as the result of educators and community members working together to create a dedicated learning environment for local families.
The journey began in rented premises in June 2004. In 2011, the school moved to its scenic Xavierite Hills campus, opening a new chapter for academic, sporting and cultural growth.
